Gillian Walker MISCP
Gillian trained in the Physiotherapy School of Trinity College Dublin. Founder of the practice, with over 25 years experience in musculoskeletal therapy. Having worked extensively in the field of sports medicine with the FAI, Irish Swimming and The Olympic Council, she now has a specific interest in Lower Limb biomechanics, rehabilitation and orthotic prescription. Most of these injuries require a multifaceted approach from addressing the soft tissue changes with physiotherapy modalities to providing shoe advice and orthotics where necessary. The Clinic now uses state of the art gait analysis with their Scanning system from Orthomed Systems. Over the years Gillian and her team have built the practice into what it is today.
Sheenagh Sexton. MISCP, Pilates Instructor APPI, Lic. Acup.
Sheenagh has been working in The Court Clinic since 2003. She has had an interest in biomechanics and foot and ankle problems since graduating from Trinity College Dublin in 1992. She gained experience in this area working in Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital, |St James Hospital and Tallaght Hospital. She also gained extensive experience while working in the USA. She is experienced in all areas of physiotherapy having worked in acute and rehab hospitals,sports clubs and private practice. Sheenagh has a keen interest in treating general musculoskeletal problems, including back and neck conditions, and likes to look at the alignment and movement patterns of the whole body in diagnosing and treating. Sheenagh is a qualified acupuncturist (UCD School of Physiotherapy 2002). Her training in this field has been in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This combination of physiotherapy and acupuncture is very effective in treating painful musculoskeletal problems. Sheenagh is a certified APPI Pilates instructor and teaches Clinical Pilates on a one to one level and in a class setting.
Zara Bowler. MISCP, Pilates Instructor APPI, Lic. Acup.
Zara qualified in 2008 with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Coventry University. She has gained extensive experience working within the NHS rotating through all key areas including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, respiratory, mental health, care of the elderly and neurology. In addition, she has also provided physiotherapy for Sports teams in the UK during training and match days. Since 2011, Zara has worked predominantly in musculoskeletal physiotherapy successfully treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. In 2010, Zara qualified as a Certified Pilates Instructor with the APPI. She has been teaching Pilates privately for the last 5 years. Zara has also experience in teaching Pilates for post natal and ante natal clients. Zara teaches modified Pilates on a one to one level at the Court Clinic. Zara has a keen interest in treating general musculoskeletal problems. Zara is a Qualified Acupuncturist (ALIED 2011) and has a keen interest in using acupuncture in conjunction with other treatment modalities such as myofacial release and manual therapy for various musculoskeletal conditions. Since joining the team at the Court Clinic Zara has developed her knowledge and skills in treating biomechanical and foot issues. She is looking forward to carrying out many biomechanical assessment and foot treatments at the Court Clinic.
Jennifer Trooster MISCP
Jennifer graduated as a physiotherapist in 2009 from Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. She has since completed an honours bachelor degree in Podiatry and completed a three year post graduate diploma in manual therapy. Holding all three diplomas is very unique, and offers Jennifer a very different insight into lower limb complaints. She has also gained a great amount of experience with complex foot and diabetes complaints, working as a registered podiatrist. Combining her musculoskeletal background with her podiatry skills gives her a very unique perspective. Since graduating, she has gained extensive experience in spinal injuries, and neck complaints, leading a team of specialist physiotherapists in one of the Netherlands largest and most respected clinics. Jennifer is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, a member of the Royal Dutch Society for Physiotherapists, the Dutch Association for Podiatry and the Dutch Association for Manual Therapists. She is continuously developing her skills by following courses.
